There are currently 1-2 postdoc positions in environmental analytical chemistry available at Duke University, in central North Carolina. Candidates should have a PhD in environmental or analytical chemistry, or a related field, and experience using GC- and LC- based mass spectrometry methods.
Preferences will be given to candidates with experience in high resolution mass spectrometry and suspect screening or non-targeted analysis methods. Supported research projects would focus on 1) analysis of emerging contaminants including perfluorinated chemicals in both surface and drinking water samples, and 2) analysis of halogenated organic contaminants in human placental tissues.
